Tickets & Sponsorships Available Until May 28!
Cassia Co-Owners Kim Luu-Ng and Chef Bryant Ng are hosting the 4th LA Chefs for Human Rights (LACHR) fundraising dinner, benefitting The People Concern. Our goal, especially with so many newly-unemployed and displaced Angelenos during the COVID-19 pandemic, is to help The People Concern house and feed more homeless individuals and families during this crisis within the Crisis.
This year, we’re excited to partner again with them for this live and virtual event on Saturday June 27, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. PT. Please join us for an inspiring evening that will bring new and old friends together to celebrate all that The People Concern has accomplished in our community, honor the people they serve and together look ahead at creating a brighter and more hopeful future for all. Although COVID-19 has disrupted our day-to-day routines and changed the way we as human beings connect, our community has shown tremendous resiliency and what it truly means to support and care for each other. And, with our national turmoil, this is the time for us to come together as a community to show kindness, love and compassion to those in need.
The evening will include a virtual program with an address from The People Concern CEO John Maceri, a video from program participants and messages and appearances from some very special guests.
Each ticket package includes:
A multi-course, family-style meal created by Bryant Ng and the Cassia team, delivered straight to your door on the day of the event, along with wine or cocktails from our generous sponsors.
A "Dear Neighbor" themed activity
Access to the live, virtual program starting at 7:00 PM PT
Founded by Kim and Bryant, LACHR is a fundraising platform that benefits and increases awareness of local human rights causes that directly affect our community. Since its 2016 inception, they've raised over $500,000 for Program for Torture Victims and The People Concern, to support medical care and legal services for refugees seeking asylum, and to feed and house homeless individuals and families in temporary and permanent housing, respectively. Since the COVID-19 pandemic arose, Cassia and the Rustic Canyon Family have donated 270 meals to The People Concern’s three interim housing sites in Santa Monica.
The People Concern is one of Los Angeles’ largest social service agencies, and their expertise helps connect people on the streets, bringing them inside and then keeping them housed. They help empower those who are homeless, food insecure or victims of domestic violence to rebuild their lives. They provide housing, counseling, wellness programs and food to those in need at their five interim housing sites throughout the city, with the goal of moving individuals into permanent supportive housing. 92% of people placed in permanent housing by The People Concern never experience homelessness again!DONATE
